Six free workshops are being held in London, Leeds and Manchester funded through The Cabinet Office. These are designed as a complementary set of topics designed to help support volunteering organisations who wish to diversify their volunteering base.

This training session provides the opportunity for delegates working in health to gain a clear understanding of the changing nature of volunteering and implications of failing to manage and embrace change effectively. This workshop will highlight there are strategies to manage change, and identify which may be most appropriate in their circumstances.

This training session provides the opportunity to identify how your organisation can engage and include disabled volunteers. This workshop will explore all the different barriers or perceived barriers to inclusive volunteering faced by both disabled people and organisations.

This training session will provide the opportunity to identify the need for reaching out to diverse communities. This workshop will explore all the different barriers or perceived barriers to inclusive volunteering. It will also present some possible solutions to identifying engagement with people from diverse communities could benefit your own volunteering programme(s).

This training session provides the opportunity to identify which strategies that focuses on engaging volunteers with mental health needs that are likely to be applicable to their own situation. Possible solutions to barriers amongst our existing volunteers to working with volunteers with mental health needs will be key areas for discussion.

This training session provides the opportunity to identify the benefits that your organisation can gain by engaging younger people as volunteers. It will look at the roles younger people perform and also allow delegates to feel confident in applying the principles of engaging younger volunteers in their volunteering programme(s).

This training session provides the opportunity to identify the key areas of risk management and risk assessment in health and social care volunteering. Also to consider the application of principles to volunteering locally and how to develop appropriate strategies to proactively minimise risk.
